Our friends at 888sport have come up with a fantastic offer for all new customers, offering a massive 7/2 for reigning World and European Champions, Spain, to top Group B.
They have been pitted against Netherlands, Chile and Australia in what looks a difficult group, but one in which Spain should have enough class to take top spot.
Spain have won the last three major tournaments available to them, and managed to coast through their qualifying group unbeaten, conceding only three goals in the process. They won six and drew two, finishing three points ahead of France and looked as though they still have plenty of quality to take to the World Cup this time around.
There have been plenty of question marks about whether the side are aging, but David Silva thinks they are only getting better. There are a few players such as Thiago Alacantara, and potentially Diego Costa, who will be big losses, however Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Alonso, Busquets, Silva etc are all fit, and will be out to make history.
They are a better side on paper than every other side in their group, and Netherlands have struggled to fire in recent years, exiting the group stages at Euro 2012, without winning a game. They are missing key man, Kevin Strootman, who will be a big loss in the defensive midfield role and this could be the difference between qualifying and not qualifying. Louis van Gaal will be hoping to sign off on a high note before taking on a new role as Manchester United boss, and future colleague Robin van Persie will be key to their chances. They looked comfortable during qualifying, but they might not have the class in the final third (with the exception of RvP) to threaten Spain, or even Chile.
Chile look comfortable in their home continent, and their pressing game will see them do very well during the group stages. Alexis Sanchez has had a fantastic season for Barcelona and will be integral if they are to qualify. Their best chance will come against the Dutch however, and they should struggle to topple Spain in the second group game, allowing Spain to go into the final game against Australia already on the cusp of qualifying. They should be able to use their 4-5-1 to great effect, and the 7/2 looks massive, when you consider they are enhanced from 4/6.
Simply bet on Spain at the normal price to win the group, then if they are successful in doing so, the extra winnings will be added the day after.
